Catholic Prayer Guides
Short, honest answers to the questions people actually ask: which saint helps sell your house, who the patron saint of workers is, and what a 9-day novena really is.

Our rule for answers
Every answer here respects two boundaries. First, honesty about what prayer is: we ask, we trust, and the rest is God's — no saint is a slot machine, no devotion comes with a guarantee. Second, honesty about history: where a custom's origins are uncertain we say so, and where the Church teaches something precisely, we let her be precise. What you always get at the end is a real prayer to pray — because that was the point of the question.
How to use these guides
Each guide begins with a direct answer, names what is known and what is only custom, and points to a prayer you can actually use. We do not present saints, statues or devotions as mechanisms for obtaining a result.
Choose what you need to understand before you pray
The Learn library answers practical Catholic questions that often come before a prayer: what a novena is, which traditions surround Saint Joseph and how devotional customs should be understood. Start with the question closest to you, then open the related prayer or novena only when the context is clear.
These guides separate documented Catholic teaching and tradition from popular custom and original explanation. They are designed to help a reader make a sound devotional choice, not to promise that a saint or practice will produce a specific material result.
