A prayer for someone who is sick
Pray for the sick person by name, asking for comfort, strength, wise treatment, faithful companions and healing according to God's will. Keep the prayer accessible to the person who is ill, and seek a priest about Anointing of the Sick when the illness or frailty is serious.
The prayer accompanies medical care and does not replace it. This page separates a personal prayer from the Church's blessing and sacramental rites, and avoids blaming a sick person when physical healing does not occur.
